Why should I prebook my photographic sitting?

Prebooking online saves time and avoids long queues. Simply print your email booking confirmation and present at our priority photography queue to have your photos taken. If you prebook online you will also receive a free USB on the day of your graduation containing all of your proofs. Upload your proofs on Facebook and tag Southam Studios, and you will go into the draw to win an iPad 2. Click here to book online.

Do I get a specific appointment time when I book in my photos?

No. Due to time constraints, we can’t book in a specific time for your sitting. We suggest prebooking online to avoid a long wait, but if you choose to book on the day make sure you arrive as early as possible to register at our customer service desk and have your studio portraits taken.

What is a sitting fee and what does it cover?

A sitting fee is the amount charged for the time you spend with our photographer. This includes a range of different shots and poses of the graduate by themselves, plus extra shots with family and friends. Your sitting fee also covers a full set of proofs being posted to your registered address, but does not include any enlargements. You can prebook your sitting fee online.

Can I get my photos taken before/after the ceremony?

Our studios are available before and after the ceremony. You can proceed to the photography area as soon as you have your gown, and immediately after the ceremony. Our studios close temporarily approximately 45 minutes before the ceremony commences.

Is the sitting fee deductable from the cost of my photographs?

No. The sitting fee covers your time with the photographer and a full set of proofs sent to you. It does not include any prints.

How do I get my proofs?

You will receive a set of proofs in the mail, generally within a week of your graduation. If you wish to take your proofs home on the day you can purchase a USB when you register for your sitting. Everyone who prebooks online before their graduation receives a free USB of their proofs.

How long before I receive my order?

You can expect to receive your completed order approximately four to six weeks after your order and payment in full has been received. Please allow extra time for framing or overseas delivery.

Can my order be delivered overseas?

Yes, for most products. Framing, Certificate Frames and Plaques, however, can only be sent within Australia.

How is my order sent?

Your order is sent via Australia Post and is parcelled securely to avoid any damage.
